Victoria Espinel, White House Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator, to Keynote World Copyright Summit Wednesday, June 8
Victoria Espinel, the White House Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator, will give a keynote speech at the third biennial World Copyright Summit on Wednesday, June 8 at 10:00am in Brussels, Belgium. Espinel serves in the Executive Office of the President of the United States as the first U.S. Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator. She was nominated by President Barack Obama in September 2009 and was confirmed by the Senate in December 2009. Espinel is charged with developing and implementing the Administration’s overall strategy for enforcement of intellectual property.
The World Copyright Summit, organized by CISAC (the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers), takes place June 7 and 8 and brings together an international group of creators, policy makers, rights organizations, and other stakeholders involved in the creation, production, licensing, distribution and dissemination of creative works of all kinds.
